Sapphire Beach is one of the newer luxury condominium properties in Barbados. It was opened in December 2009 and apartments have been in use and rented out since then. A few apartments are still available for sale. Some of them (not all) which have been sold are offered privately here on this site for short term holiday rentals.
Sapphire Beach is an extremely attractive 54-apartment complex designed by renowned architect Ian Morrison. It consists of 3 separate building blocks, made up of 18 two bedroom and 34 three bedroom apartments which all face the ocean. It has over 370 feet of incredible white sand beach frontage which is on the much longer Dover beach. Its design and layout while very attractive also ensures that every apartment benefits from direct views of the gorgeous Caribbean Sea and expansive white sand beach directly in front.

The location of Sapphire Beach is so ideal that nearly everything you will require on holiday is within easy walking distance. The property is directly on Dover Beach which stretches some of the length of the well known St. Lawrence Gap. St. Lawrence Gap or The Gap in Barbados is known as one of the islands best spots for a great selection of bars, restaurants, nightclubs and more. While Sapphire Beach is only minutes away from The Gap, it is not directly on The Gap so won’t be affected by noise from diners, music, partygoers etc.
Everything from banking to grocery shopping to car rentals is within a short walk. Public transportation at the cost of Barbados $1.50 to go almost anywhere on island is also available nearby. Sapphire Beach is only a short 15-20 minute drive to or from the airport and about the same distance from the main shopping and city centre Bridgetown. Also located nearby is the Oistins Fishing Village which comes alive every evening (specially on weekends) and transforms into the islands premier outdoor dining and entertainment spot featuring fresh local seafood cooked as you watch. Oistins is an experience shared by locals and visitors alike that is not to be missed, from the very affordable local seafood to the outdoors music, dancing and even local craft on sale. Sapphire Beach in Barbados is the perfect combination of West Coast style with the laid back elegance of the South Coast.
Two Bedroom On the first two levels of the property, there are 18 split-level two bedroom apartments featuring an en-suite bedroom on each floor. They are a comfortable 1630 square feet of beachfront luxury. You enter into the lower section with the guest room which has its own bathroom and direct access out onto the pool deck and gardens. Just inside the apartment entrance are the stairs leading to the kitchen, living areas and upper bedroom. Additionally, the upper bedroom area has three spacious closets and private ocean view balcony. This layout works great for families who prefer to have some ‘space’ between them and the younger ones. *** Note: Depending on the time of year and demand, non-split unit two bedroom apartments on higher floors may be offered.
Three Bedroom On the third through sixth floors there are 36 three bedroom apartments featuring two en-suite bedrooms, a second guest room and full guest bathroom, providing ample living space of over 1820 square feet for couples and families alike. The master suite features private sliding-door access to the covered ocean view balcony/terrace, his and her walk-in closets and a spacious bathroom with granite countertops, double sinks and a rain-style showerhead.
The second en-suite bedroom also features a generous walk-in closet and granite countertops in the bathroom. The third bedroom also has a large storage closet and adjacent full bathroom that acts as the guest bathroom.
The amenities ( applies to both 2 and 3 bedroom apartments ) include: a full modern appliance package (dishwasher and washer/dryer included), superbly designed European kitchens, air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. All apartments have telephone, flat screen cable TV’s and high speed internet access. The finishes are luxurious throughout and show top quality craftsmanship including the granite counter tops and porcelain floor tiles. Most importantly the view of the beach and the ocean from every unit at Sapphire Beach is incredible. The only difference between apartments is the décor and furnishing which are both done to a very high standard, most by interior designer. Bed setup may differ slightly between apartments so please enquire. Twice weekly housekeeping is included in every rental.All linens, beach and bath towels are included.
